 Romance in this generation must be filled with masculinity and feminism else they do not regard it as love. But Bollywood had experimenting romance from ages, probably a century. Movies have become part of life for bollywood's audience and has a lot of impact in real life.

Romance is not created, it just happens. And this was the mantra Bollywood taught to whole world and made huge impact in peoples' life.

1. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

     Still running in theatre, 1995 film is regarded as most influential movie all over the world. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film was directed by Aaditya Chopra. Though it was a regular Indian love story, the performance, location and larger than life music with dramas makes this film a must watch.


2. Maine Pyaar Kiya

     Released in 1989, Sooraj Barjatya directorial was a cyclone in that era. The music was running like virus to every peoples' ear and mind. This Salman Khan and Bhagyashree starrer film gained huge recognition all over the world. It gave people the dialogues to carry in their life and lots of material things came on board.

3. Kabhie Kabhie

     This musical romantic drama directed by Yash Chopra starring ensemble of Amitabh Bachhan, Rakhee, Sashi Kapoor, Waheda Rehman and Neetu Singh created beautiful environment in 1976 with extra ordinary songs and poetry. 4. Guide

     A classic movie featuring a struggle of the inner self, a Guide to a better spiritual existence, this 1965 film directed by Vijay Anand starring Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman gave a pure love feeling and taught to take free time for the loved ones. This film is the classic movie of all time and even resonates with this era.

5. Madhumati

     The paranormal Romantic film directed by Bimal Roy featuring Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala focuses on a modern man who falls in love with a tribal woman but they face challenges in their relationship leading to a paranormal consequences. This 1958 film does not resonates with real life but gives a pure love feeling to the audiences.



6. Mughal-E-Azam

    The epic love story of Mughal Prince Saleem and court dancer Anarkali was an interesting historical romance released in 1960 starring Dilip Kumar and Madhubala in pivotal roles and is regarded as milestone film in Indian Cinema. This film captures interest of people over generations.

7. Lamhe

     A tale of love trancending the boundreis of time and space, Yash Chopra directorial 1991 film starring Sridevi and Anil Kapoor gives pure feeling of love. With shades of incest, Lamhe caused more than a flutter and remained the talk of the town.

8. Raja Hindustami

     The romantic drama film directed by Dharmesh Darshan starring Aamir Khan and Karishma Kapoor created havoc in 1996. The cinema theatres were housefull for a year and people were humming its song in whole country. The classic film tells people that there is no bound in love.

9. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

     Another tsunami in 1998 was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjhee were face of the nation whom people were copying them with own interest and benefits. 10. Veer-Zaara

     Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the pivotal roles, a Yash Chopra directoral was nothing but deep feeling of love in peoples' heart. 2004 was the year when people knew love needs patience and if the love is pure, they are definitely going to be together.
