Highest Footfalls Bollywood movies in 1990s

Hindi Film Industry aka Bollywood has been making films since 100 years ago. Though it was in small number back then, it was 1970s when Bollywood tookover Hollywood and become highest film producing industry. 70s was solely ruled by The Great Amitabh Bachhan, but Bollywood had to wait till 1990s to get worldwide recognition. After the rise of KHANS and other new age actors were famous not only in India but also worldwide.

So, let's talk about the movies in 90s with highest number of footfalls. (Top 10)

10. Raja

       Raja was a action romantic drama film directed by Indra Kumar starring Sanjay Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. It collected 2.13 crores (20 million) footfalls.

9. Mohra

       The action thriller film directed by Rajiv Rai Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Akshay Kumar,Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon collected 2.15 crores (21 million) footfalls.

8. Hum Saath-Saath Hai

       The family drama film directed by Sooraj Barjatya starring huge actors like Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Mohnish Bahl, Tabu and Karishma Kapoor was a superhit with 2.85 crores (28 million) footfalls.

7. Dil Toh Pagal Hai

       The musical romance film directed by Yash Chopra starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar collected 2.95 crores (29 million) footfalls.

6. Karan Arjun

       The action thriller film directed my Rakesh Roshan starring Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Mamta Kulkarni collected 2.99 crores (30 million) footfalls.

5. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

       The romantic comedy drama film directed my Karan Johar starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherji and Salman Khan collected 3.56 crores (35 million) footfalls.

4. Border

       The epic war film directed by J.P. Dutta starring ensemble cast of Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Jackie Shroff, Tabu collected 3.70 crores (37 million) footfalls.

3. Raja Hindustani

        The romantic drama film directed by Dharmesh Darshan starring Aamir Khan and Karishma Kapoor collected 4.09 crores (40 million)
footfalls.

2. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

         The musical romance film directed by Aditya Chopra starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol collected 4.79 crores (47 million) footfalls and is still running in theatre.


1. Hum Aapke Hai Kaun

          The romantic drama film directed by Sooraj Barjatya starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit collected 7.39 crores (73 million) footfalls.
