Money Heist Part-5 Review

Probably the most hyped show from netflix is released with its first part of season 5. A lot has happened from influencing the public, successful handovers, unfortunate deaths, much anticipated reunions and obviously the cliffhangers. However the cliffhanger at the end of season 4 that Alicia Sierra has found the location of the professor and we ended the episode with them having a face-off.

Now the season 5 has premiered, did it live up to the hype around the show? Did it engage the viewers the same way? Let's get right into it with the review of Money Heist Part 5     Vol 1.

I know it is one of the best show of all time but just see the underwhelming aspect of the show.

This is the series that in its pitch is a commercial action therefore a lot of its sequences can be termed over the top or rather convenient. While I have no problem when it comes to the action of the series because it is bloody fun to witness, but the comedic attempt was getting out of hand. This is especially regarding the colonel's character that makes situation more awkward than funny. There are moments where Arturo completely goes badshit crazy and transitions to talk about football analogies of Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar which was unintentionally funny more than anything else. Other than that, Tokyo becoming jonty rhodes in one instance with a grenade was probably the only part in the action sequences where I felt it was completely getting a little out of hand.

Talking about Screenplay, One depends upon the flashbacks to provide context for various characters. While some of these flashbacks provide right context to the origin story of characters some of the throwbacks actually are placed in the edit abruptly. Just being dedications to the most beloved characters rather than providing an insight to where we left off.

Talking about just good aspect, Background score and sound design is absolutely blowing. This is not only with the reference to the bewildering amount of ammunition that is dispensed throughout the episodes but in context to the background scores also that is utilized to enhance those sequences. Several moments comes to mind when thinking about the impactful background score of season 5. There is melancholic piano score that plays as Tokyo narrates the Bank heist that changed her life forever. There is an altercation with the heist team and Arturo and specifically the moment a grenade gets launched. The sound design of the deafening impact that it has is so artistically done.

Obviously, the Themes and Writing is the constant thing of this show which remains exceptional. No words to this context. It is undoubtedly one of the best.

Talking about Characters and Moments, all the characters are individual that we either absolutely resonate with or completely despise and this is actually perect for the series and indicative of its global fandom. Berlin has become so iconic character and everubody's favorite that even after his death, there are some flashbacks stories with him in central character. Alicia Sierra being vengeful against the professor, she just comes accross as a determined badass who feels cornered in every shape and form. She is one of the best in this season. And obviously, Arturo being a pure piece of shit like always.

To sum up, I have nothing to say but desperately waiting for the next Volume in December. Since it is going to be the last part it will absolutely be a mayhem.
